Puppy Prep School specializes in offering fun and effective Relationship-Based Private Training programs designed to bring out the best in your puppy and teach him the skills he needs to become a well-mannered member of your family.
As the optimum period for learning for puppies is from birth to 16 weeks of age, beginning training early promotes good habits, builds stronger bonds of companionship and reduces poosibilities for unwanted behaviors.
All training is tailored to your pup’s unique personality, age and breed characteristics. Puppy Prep School’s commitment is to help you set your pup up for success, keep him happily motivated to learn and progress, and become a clear, consistent and trusted leader.

In Your Home:
Puppy Prep School Private Tutoring-Basic and Intermediate Lessons
Learn how to be your puppy’s teacher, guide and leader. Private tutoring lessons are held in your home, where life – and most behavior – occurs. Elizabeth works with you one-on-one. You’ll learn how to use space, voice, touch and body language to teach the behaviors you want. Sessions are geared toward developing effective communication and building connection as well as addressing specific behavioral issues. Private tutoring lessons are available singly or in packages of 3 or 6.
Puppy or Shelter Dog Consultations
This is a single session that will get you off to a great start when you’ve brought home a new puppy or a new-to-you older dog. You will learn how to best structure your new family member’s life for greatest success, how to avoid and prevent unwanted behaviors and how to create a strong bond between you.
Elizabeth can also help you choose the right dog – whether from a shelter, rescue or breeder - to match your life style and family situation.
New Baby Program
Learn how to prepare your dog for the arrival of your new baby with techniques designed to keep everyone safe and happy. This can consist of a single session, with a second one to be scheduled for after baby comes home, if need be.
Introducing Your Dog to a New Dog
Learn the best ways to integrate a new dog into your existing family “pack”. Learn how to avoid common pitfalls for a more seamless transition.
Walk N Train
Available to customers in Northside, Clifton, College Hill, Finneytown, Downtown Cincinnati and vicinity. For just a few dollars more than a regular dog walk, your puppy or dog will learn better leash manners in order to become a calmer and more connected walking companion for you. When practiced often, good lifetime habits are easily developed. Minimum of 3 sessions per week.
For owners with busy lives and time commitments who are seeking a Jump Start training program, Elizabeth offers Puppy Prep School Boarding School. Your puppy stays in her home in Northside for 2 weeks.
Puppy Prep School Boarding School-Stay and Train
For puppies from 8 weeks to 6 months of age.
Elizabeth begins your puppy’s training in the basic skills. Two follow-up sessions in your home are included upon completion of the program in order to teach you what your puppy knows and how to maintain and build upon training success.
